Lorraine Murray is a CORU registered Chartered Physiotherapist/Athletic Therapist. Lorraine graduated from Dublin City University in 2011 with a BSc. Athletic Therapy and Training, specialising in the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and sporting injuries. After 7 years working in the sport, health and fitness industry, Lorraine proceeded to graduate from the University of Brighton in 2020 with a MSc. in Physiotherapy (Pre-registration). During her 2-year master’s course she worked in many different hospital settings including Trauma Orthopaedics, Acute Stroke unit, Musculoskeletal Out-patient and Hospice Palliative care. These experiences instilled a strong holistic approach throughout her practice as a physiotherapist which she continues to carry through her profession today.

Lorraine’s vast experience to date includes working with multiple sports teams, including 1 year with Coolmine U'20's RFC (2012-"13), 4 years with Dublin Camogie GAA (2012 -"16), and 1 year playing and working with Al Ain GAA (UAE - 2017-"18). During these years she worked with various GAA club teams across Co. Dublin and her home county of Co. Leitrim. She practiced pitch-side emergency care as well as providing treatment and rehabilitation for numerous athletes.

Lorraine also worked as a fitness instructor both at the National Sports Campus in Dublin 15 (2012-"16) and the Brighton University Gym in the UK (2018-"20), teaching a wide variety of classes such as spinning, strength and conditioning and mobility practices. She also worked as a BACPR Cardiac Rehabilitation exercise instructor in conjunction with Connolly Hospital, Dublin (2014-"16) and at the Brighton University Gym in the UK (2018-"20).

Lorraine has worked full time in private practice for the past 4 years. She works with acute and chronic MSK injuries and conditions among a varied population of all ages and she loves it. Lorraine takes a holistic approach when assessing and treating a person as it is never just one structure that is affected by injury. The whole physical system is impacted when injured due to the body's clever ability to adapt which more often than not, leads to compensation which may induce imbalances throughout the physical system. It is paramount that the whole physical system is in balance to support efficient recovery of the injured structure and site.

Throughout Lorraine's professional and personal experience to date, she has grown a strong understanding and interest in energy healing techniques and as a result, has achieved Level 1, 2 and Masters Reiki healing qualifications.

Lorraine first came across Reiki about 8 years ago and due to its beneficial impact on her own life, she progressed to study and embody it herself. This evolved into practicing it on friends with great results. She progressed to introduce Reiki into some of her Physiotherapy treatment sessions, where she saw fit and  with her client's consent, which further solidified the benefits and almost tangible results of Reiki.

These experiences became more frequent for Lorraine as she began to receive referrals for Reiki as well as Physiotherapy due to the beneficial effects people were feeling. She understood she was helping to reduce mental and emotional stress by inducing deep relaxation which ultimately supported faster recovery times.

It is due to these experiences, alongside her passion for helping people, that her idea for developing a unique service came from.  A service that involves a whole mind and body, holistic approach to help people find ways to live life to the full and enjoy the activities they love to do without limitations.
